Harley-Davidson Announces Battle Of The Kings UK Finalists

After a month of public voting, Harley-Davidson’s Battle of the Kings custom motorcycle competition has announced its five UK finalists.

12,000 votes were cast for the 15 entries from the UK and Ireland for the fourth year of the contest which coincides with Harley-Davidson’s 115th Anniversary.

Each year, Harley sets a challenge to dealers to create the ultimate custom machine out of a selection of standard models, comprised of the Iron 883, Forty-Eight Roadster, Street 750, Street Rod, Street Bob and Fat Bob.

With a strict £5,500 budget – at least half of which must be spent on official Harley-Davidson parts and accessories – the dealers must create a unique, road-legal ‘Custom King’.

It’s all about highlighting the impressive range of official H-D accessories available, and showcasing in-house dealer talent.

Four of this year’s finalists were based on Harley’s ever popular Softail Street Bob.

The finalists include:

The Petrali Racer, customised by Michael Noble of Guildford H-D;

Ottaway, customised by Maidstone H-D;

The Edge, customised by Neil Sefton at Shaw H-D

Enlisted, customised by Fraser Hine at West Coast H-D.

Alley Rat, a Sportster Forty-Eight customised by Todd Meynell of Sycamore H-D.

The final round of judging will be held at the Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show this weekend. The lucky finalist will then go head-to-head against other national finalists in a Grand Finale at EICMA 2018.
