Gino Rea to ride the Bike Devil MV Agusta at Cadwell

Bike Devil MV Agusta UK Racing have taken the necessary step of releasing rider Danny Kent from his contract following a criminal conviction today.

Kent was due to ride for the team at this weekend’s Bennetts British Superbike round at Cadwell Park but this will not happen.

“Danny was today given a suspended sentence by a magistrates court and we cannot condone criminal activity of any nature,” said team principal Dave Tyson.

“He has been released from any further obligations he had with us.”

Bike Devil’s Robert Williams added: “It was with great disappointment when we heard today’s news but now fully support the actions taken by our team principals.”

The team have decided after the Thursday evening test to have ex European Superstock champion on the bike Gino Rea for the weekend. We will then look next week to get the permanent replacement in place.
